WELCOME TO WESTWOOD
WestWood is a worldwide leader in advanced polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA) technology and a trusted partner in the construction industry for over 40 years. WestWood offers a comprehensive range of liquid-applied roofing, waterproofing, and surfacing systems, engineered for high-performance applications across roofs, balconies, car parks, bridges, road surfaces, railway platforms, and more.
Founded in 1999 by Klaus Westphal and Kristian Grünwald, WestWood is headquartered in Minden, Germany. Our 12-acre campus includes an 86,000-square-foot manufacturing facility, office space, warehouse operations, and a dedicated research and development center equipped with state-of-the-art testing labs. All WestWood products—from primers to coatings to fully integrated systems – are developed and manufactured to the highest standards, ensuring consistent quality and performance.
From the beginning, innovation has been at our core. The introduction of PMMA-based liquid-applied resins marked a revolutionary leap forward in waterproofing and surfacing technologies. With sustained success and continued growth, WestWood established subsidiaries across Switzerland, Austria, Italy, the United Kingdom – and in 2009, launched its U.S. operation as ALT Global. Today, WestWood USA brings this legacy of excellence to the North American market. We work directly with architects, contractors, consultants, and building owners to deliver cold liquid-applied solutions that are rapid-curing, durable, flame-free, and built for complex geometries. Our U.S. team combines hands-on technical support with deep product expertise, offering system design guidance, field training, and real-time project support from coast to coast.
